This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
At Abbots Farm Junior School the health and safety of all children is of paramount importance. Parents send their children to school each day with the expectation that school provides a safe, secure environment in which their children can flourish. In order to achieve this, a wide range of measures are in place.
We ensure that safeguarding permeates all aspects of our school life. There can be no issue of greater importance to our staff, governors and parents and carers, than the safety of our children. We ensure that the following underpins everything we do:
· Protect our children and learners from maltreatment
· Prevent impairment of our children’s and learners’ health or development
· Ensure that our children and learners are growing up in circumstances consistent with the provision
of safe and effective care
· Undertake a role so as to enable those children and learners to have optimum life chances and to
enter adulthood successfully

Keeping Children Safe
At Abbots Farm we take the children's safety on the internet very seriously. To help our parents we have put together some sites that provide information for children on how to stay safe while on the internet. Please click on the links below:

Find out about the different ways to navigate the web and to find out what is legal and what isn’t. It also gives practical advice about the internet and how to stay safe.
