π¨ Not all apps are safe for children![]()
When your child asks to download a new app, itβs natural to want to say yes β after all, βeveryone else has it,β right?![]()
But not all apps are created with childrenβs safety in mind. Some expose young users to strangers, unfiltered content, cyberbullying, or pressure to grow up too fast.![]()
π¬ Hereβs what parents can do:![]()
β
Stay curious β Ask your child why they want the app and what it does.
β
Do your research β Check app reviews, age ratings, and potential risks.
β
Set boundaries β Use parental controls and screen time limits.
β
Keep talking β Create an open space where your child feels safe to talk about what they see online.
β
Use it together β Explore the app with them. Learn its features and privacy settings side by side.![]()
You donβt need to know everything β just being engaged makes a huge difference. π![]()
