A huge well done to all of year 6 for making a great start to the new school year!
The children have been working super hard this week to get ‘back into the swing’ of school life and it is like they have never been away! We have been making the most of the sunshine and getting outside for lots of our lessons, including a Jigsaw puzzle hunt to make a map of the USA and a QR code treasure hunt to find out all about the islands of Hawaii. The children have also enjoyed our first English text, which is Beowulf, and they have written some gruesome Kenning poems about Grendel, the terrible monster from the story.
