In today's No Outsiders assembly, we discussed the new autistic Barbie doll and how different people had different views about it. Some have celebrated this "milestone in representation" while others have said that "Autism is not how you look, it's how you are". This led us to a great discussion about invisible differences or disabilities and showing empathy to others.
